About Us

Gerda Green was born in 1946 in Kitzingen, Germany. She left Germany in 1975 to live in the U.S. and was saved by faith in Jesus Christ at First Baptist Church, Alice Texas.

There she met her husband Joe Green and they married in 1976. Gerda has three sons, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

On her journey, the family saw many miracles happen through her ministry. Blind people were given sight, cancer, tumors and all kinds of diseases and illnesses were healed..

In 1977-1984, Gerda and her family attended a faith service in Indiana to further prepare for their future service commitments.

According to this word of God, she believed in her mission to preach to the sick and heal them:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives and the opening of the prison to the bound.”

Gerda and Joe founded a deliverance ministry and saw hundreds of people freed from terrible bondage.

The “Bread-of-Life” Church was a non-denominational church with a focus on proclaiming the true Word of God, living by faith in the Word of God and in the full authority that Jesus has given us as Christians..

After her husband passed away in New Braunfels, Texas, in 2018, Gerda returned to Austria to continue her healing and deliverance ministry. Gerda believes that people in the Body of Christ need to understand and experience what Jesus did for them on the cross.

Jesus came to demonstrate the will of the Father by healing all the sick who came to him and also raised the dead.

Matthew 4:23 indicates that Jesus preached the gospel in their synagogues, whereupon all kinds of diseases among the people were healed..
